PDF A Different Blue with Free MOBI EDITION!

I love Amy Harmon's writing, and this book captivated me as I followed Blue's heart-rending story of self-discovery and her blossoming love for Wilson. Many parts grabbed my emotions and left me in tears. But things changed when Blue gave her newborn baby girl to Wilson's sister. I saw no justifiable reason for that, when she and Wilson could've given that baby a wonderful home if they'd just opened their eyes and hearts!And speaking of Wilson (our "hero"), he was okay, I guess, but a bit of a stuffed shirt in my opinion, constantly fighting his feelings for Blue and finding reasons to not get involved with her. What was his problem, anyway? Just because he'd been her teacher? She was nineteen and he was twenty-two when they met, so she wasn't a child. I kept hoping for at least one romantic love scene between them (so did Blue!) but no. Nothing but kisses from this guy, even when he professed his "ardent" love.The mystery of Blue's birth family is neatly solved at the end (though rather far-fetched), and we can assume Blue and Wilson eventually get together for a Happily Ever After (without that precious baby girl, darn it).One thing puzzled me early in the book. Manny (Blue's friend) brings a gun into the high school and shoots it several times, attempting to kill a boy who posted nude pictures of Manny's sister. Blue and Wilson stop him, and Manny is arrested. One month later, Manny is released to his mother, "pending some sort of a hearing." His mother takes him and his sister and flees (presumably to Mexico). Really? A school shooter is released from custody within a month? Not likely.Amy Harmon is an enormously talented writer, and this story could have been perfect. Sadly, it wasn't. Kudos for flawless proofreading and for the absence of foul language. Four stars overall.
